A Lifelong New Orleanian
AN ENTIRE LIFE SPENT HERE
I grew up in the historic Lower Ninth Ward community here in New Orleans. I am a graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School, and I attended Southern University New Orleans. I've lived, learned, worked, and loved here in New Orleans throughout my entire life.
A THRIVING CAREER IN NON-PROFITS
I am the founding Vice President of the non-profit organization,
A Community Voice. I also served as the Vice President of my ACORN chapter, where I used my role to testify before US Congress in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. I've worked with many non-profit organizations throughout New Orleans in order to achieve enhanced resources and opportunity for our communities.
WHEN IT COMES TO
OUR BEST IS YET TO COME
Having lived here my entire life, I know just how special New Orleans is.
For too long, our city leaders have failed to capitalize on the incredible people, beautiful land, and economic opportunity that is waiting to be utilized in the Crescent City. I believe that by sponsoring world-class community-building efforts, better public education, infrastructural development, and entrepreneurship programs, New Orleans can finally become a 21st-century city.
Imagine a New Orleans where our public service and economic opportunity is just as rich as our culture and spirit. I am determined to work with city leaders and residents to help New Orleans prosper and reach new heights.
